If you require care but cannot afford to pay for it privately, you may be eligible for funding from your local council. This is determined through a care needs assessment followed by a financial assessment (means test).

Council-Managed Funding: If your savings and assets are below £23,250, your local authority may contribute to or fully cover the cost of your care. The council will arrange and pay for your care services directly.

Direct Payments: Some people prefer to receive the funding directly from the council, allowing them to choose their own care provider. If you select Hope Homecare, we can assist in setting up direct payments and managing the process for you.

NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) Funding

For individuals with significant health needs, care may be fully funded by the NHS under the Continuing Healthcare (CHC) scheme. Eligibility is determined through a comprehensive assessment, and if approved, the NHS will cover the cost of your care.

Because Hope Homecare is an approved provider on the NHS and ICB frameworks, the transition to our services is simple and straightforward. We can support you in applying for CHC funding, ensuring you have the correct documentation and information for a successful application.

⁠Private Funding (Self-Funding)

If you do not qualify for council or NHS funding, you may need to pay for your care privately. This is often the case if your assets exceed £23,250 (as per national funding thresholds in England).
