Out and about

Out and about

Many people in our community confront obstacles that might undermine their confidence and independence, making them unwilling to leave their homes. This lack of confidence in their capacity to perform ordinary things like shopping, attending medical appointments, or participating in social events can have a significant influence on their quality of life. Recognising this need, we created the Out-and-About service, which is designed to provide vital assistance and support to service users who want to reclaim their independence outside of their homes.

Our Out-and-About services include a variety of choices designed to meet the specific requirements and interests of our service users. Among these services are, but are not limited to:

Accompanied Shopping: We recognise that even a simple trip to the supermarket can be intimidating for some people. Our care workers are available to accompany service users on shopping trips, offering both physical and emotional support.

Attending hospital checkups is essential for maintaining one's health, but mobility limitations can make this task appear unattainable. Our team can guarantee that service users arrive safely and on time for their appointments.

Appointments with Doctors: Regular check-ups with healthcare specialists are vital. Our programme is geared to help service users attend doctor visits and receive the necessary care.

Medication Collection: For many people, picking up prescription medications is a requirement. Our carers can assist service users in collecting their medications on time, ensuring that they follow their recommended treatment schedules.

Visiting Spouse in the Hospital: We understand how important it is to stay in touch with loved ones. Our assistance includes enabling visits to spouses in the hospital and fostering mental well-being through difficult times.

Social Activities: Isolation can have a negative impact on one's mental and emotional well-being. We provide opportunities for service users to participate in social activities with their families or on their own, developing a sense of community and joy.

We are pleased to announce that, in order to improve the accessibility of our services, we will shortly deploy wheelchair-accessible cars, extending our commitment to diversity and assistance. Please contact us for additional information on this new addition to our service offerings.

At our core, we prioritise flexibility and customisation, ensuring that every service we provide is suited to our service users' individual needs and preferences. We think that everyone should be able to reclaim their independence and live their lives to the fullest.
